Final Project

I have done a lot of research on cars overtime, and I am looking forward to doing more. There are more people to get information from than just Doug DeMuro. There is Auto Buyers Guide, the Fast Lane Car, MotorTrend, the Kelly Blue Book, and more. When I look at those websites, I think about what details they have and what they might be missing. One thing that many reviewers do not talk about is reliability because it is difficult to predict how well-maintained the car will be without needing to go to the dealer or a mechanic for maintenance. When looking for cars from Doug DeMuro, I got to see a lot of his opinions on various features of the car, style, driving dynamics, practicality, and value. He also gives it a DougScore based on those things and a few other factors. Once he does that, he shows the DougScore on a chart with other vehicles that one would compete with. Doing so helps to see what the score is for the best cars. Auto Buyers Guide shows Alex Dykes giving detail...

Project Update 3

Doug DeMuro is a YouTuber who reviews cars, and he auctions cars online. In his reviews, takes the viewers on a tour of the car, he takes it out on the road to drive it, and he gives it a DougScore. He owns a lot of cars which I can see a car enthusiast doing because they love working with cars. It helps me to see his videos because I like to see what kinds of cars he would recommend. During his videos, he has an exterior tour, an interior tour, a view under the hood, the drive section, and a DougScore. He shows the features and styling on the exterior and how they work. He shows the style and features on the interior and how they work. He shows the engine under the hood and how it works. He drives the car out on the road to show how it drives. Finally, he combines those things to give the car a DougScore at the end. The DougScore consists of two different sets of categories, those being the “Weekend” categories and the “Daily” categories. The Weekend categories are accelerat...

Project Update 2

When I was thinking about what to do for my blog, I thought it might be good to show how it relates to consumer culture. When shopping for cars, you should think about what to do as far as getting the right car goes. There are many differences between different cars. Not just the styling, but also the interior space, and features. When you look for a car, think about what you are looking for, why you want those things, and how much use you would make of them. There are plenty of features that are useful, but they are expensive, and not everyone will make use of those features. Features that the Ford F-150 Lightning has include things like a large enough battery to use as a power generator helps in a blackout, and it helps to be better for the environment. Gasoline trucks use a lot of gas and pollute the environment more than electric vehicles do. Of course, EVs are more expensive, but at least you would not have to go buy gas. When you look for a car to buy, you can often think about t...
