Final Project
I have done a lot of research on cars overtime, and I am looking forward to doing more. There are more people to get information from than just Doug DeMuro. There is Auto Buyers Guide, the Fast Lane Car, MotorTrend, the Kelly Blue Book, and more. When I look at those websites, I think about what details they have and what they might be missing. One thing that many reviewers do not talk about is reliability because it is difficult to predict how well-maintained the car will be without needing to go to the dealer or a mechanic for maintenance.
When
looking for cars from Doug DeMuro, I got to see a lot of his opinions on various
features of the car, style, driving dynamics, practicality, and value. He also
gives it a DougScore based on those things and a few other factors. Once he
does that, he shows the DougScore on a chart with other vehicles that one would
compete with. Doing so helps to see what the score is for the best cars.
Auto
Buyers Guide shows Alex Dykes giving detailed reviews about his cars. He shows
what the vehicle looks like all around the exterior and interior. When he gives
his interior tour, he shows what it looks like at every inch of the seats, door
panels, dashboard, and more. He also shows how child seats fit, how the
infotainment system works, and how it drives. When he sees how it drives, he gives
letter grades based on how they compare to other vehicles in their segments.
I
unfortunately do not have time to tell you everything about them right now, but
I am happy to tell you more about cars on my capstone website. Thank you for
taking the time to hear about this, and I hope to see you again soon.
Interesting topic to present on! Are you merely reporting on Doug's commentary or also developing a stance that either argues for or against it? If the latter, how would you do so visually? How would that personal interaction or lack thereof affect the impact your final project has on the audience?
