Project Update 3
Doug DeMuro is a YouTuber who reviews cars, and he auctions cars online. In his reviews, takes the viewers on a tour of the car, he takes it out on the road to drive it, and he gives it a DougScore. He owns a lot of cars which I can see a car enthusiast doing because they love working with cars. It helps me to see his videos because I like to see what kinds of cars he would recommend.
During
his videos, he has an exterior tour, an interior tour, a view under the hood,
the drive section, and a DougScore. He shows the features and styling on the
exterior and how they work. He shows the style and features on the interior and
how they work. He shows the engine under the hood and how it works. He drives
the car out on the road to show how it drives. Finally, he combines those
things to give the car a DougScore at the end.
The
DougScore consists of two different sets of categories, those being the
“Weekend” categories and the “Daily” categories. The Weekend categories are acceleration,
handling, fun factor, and cool factor. Styling is how he feels about the way
the car looks. Acceleration is how fast the car can accelerate from 0 to 60
MPH. Handling consists of how safe the car is to drive, and how well it
performs. The fun factor consists of how fun Doug DeMuro thinks the car is to
drive. The last part is the cool factor which shows how cool and important the
car is. The Daily categories are the features, comfort, quality, practicality,
and value. Features are based on how well equipped each feature is, and how
many features it has based on modern standards. Comfort is based on ride
quality, smoothness, and luxury compared to its competitors which includes
things like cabin noise. Quality is based on how nice the car feels, and how
reliable Doug DeMuro expects it to be. Practicality is based on interior space with
factors such as cargo space, practical features, and fuel economy. Value is
based on its price compared to how much he thinks it is worth based on the
other things he mentioned about the car.
Doug
DeMuro also has a car auction website called Cars and Bids which is where you
can buy or sell an enthusiast car from the 1980s to today. If you are
interested in getting an enthusiast car that is from between the 1980s and now,
and the car you want is currently being auctioned on Cars and Bids, you can bid
on it there. You can also sell an enthusiast car from between the 1980s and now
on Cars and Bids if you would like to sell it.
There
are many things that Doug DeMuro does with cars, and he shows that they are
important to him. When we see how each car is, it helps to see how they work, how
they drive, how they feel inside, and how they are priced. All of those things
are important to think about when it comes to buying a car because it helps to
see how you feel about getting a good car.
